Join the Editorial Team
Our Editorial Team is the main body of LifeSci Lens, comprised of editors, proofreaders, and designers all working together to assemble the efforts of our writers. Any UoB life sciences student can join one or more of these groups, regardless of prior experience; we are looking for enthusiasm and the ability to learn!
Writer
Researches and writes articles regularly for our issues, as well as shorter form content for our social media.
Editor
Reviews article submissions, checking the validity of sources and information as well as ensuring the quality of the scientific communication, either making initial comments on articles or acting as a peer reviewer.
Proofreader
Maintains a high standard of grammar, punctuation and spelling to ensure clarity of writing, without making major changes to the phrasing of the text.
Designer
Collaborate to create a professional, engaging layout for the magazine to enhance ease of navigation and visual appeal, as well as designing promotional material and magazine covers.
How we support you
When you join our project, you become part of a collaborative network of students all working towards the same goal of preparing our next issue. To that end, support is always available if needed.
